Clarksdale, county seat for Coahoma Co / DSC_0010 10/3/2005 The cross roads of Highway 49 and 61 is supposedly where the legendary Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil in exchange for learning to play the blues. While we were getting pictures, an older guy stopped and stated that the real, original, cross roads is a couple of blocks away. Apparently, they've moved the highways over a little bit. I suppose that's interesting, but it didn't really change things for us. This is where the tourist photo spot is located.
